Auto Check Mail Option on iPhone   
While this option may drain your batteries, enabling this feature saves you a lot of time because it automatically checks your inbox depending on your preferred frequency.

Tap on the settings icon in Home and tap Mail button.
Search for Auto-Check in the Messages section.
Then select the frequency of updates.

this is indeed a good tip. i've just set up mine and i wonder if it works. im expecting updates every 15 minutes.
